Good program to make AMV's with?

I've tried Sony Vegas Pro, Windows Movie Maker and OneTrueMedia. None of them work well for me...WMM is good for movies that you dont need to put music in and Vegas Pro wont load the video imports I try to put on there. OneTrueMedia is too complicated and I still cant figure it out. Are there any programs that work really well for making AMV's? Do you know from experience? Please fill me in on all you can and thank you very much in advance.
